MathOwl Privacy Policy

MathOwl (“the app”) is a daily mental math game developed by Hasan Berat Gürbüz. This policy explains what information the app handles.
Data We Collect
MathOwl has no user accounts and never asks for your name, email address or other contact details. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access your device’s advertising identifier.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your progress (scores, streaks, hearts, power-ups, Premium status and settings) is stored only on your device and shared with the MathOwl widget. Deleting the app removes this data.
Game Center
If you sign in to Game Center, your scores are sent to Apple’s leaderboards. In a live duel, your Game Center nickname and your answers during the match are shared with your opponent through Game Center. Apple processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Advertising
If you do not have Premium, the app shows ads from Google AdMob: optional reward videos you can watch for an extra heart or power-up, and an ad after some duels. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob may collect information such as your IP address, device model, iOS version and ad interactions. The advertising identifier is not used, because the app never asks for tracking permission. Google processes this data under its Privacy Policy. Premium members see no ads. Where privacy laws require it, for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app first asks for your consent with Google’s consent form; you can change your choice at any time with “Privacy Choices” on the Premium screen.
Crash Reports
To improve stability, the app uses Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google. If the app crashes, it sends technical diagnostics such as the stack trace, app version, iOS version, device model and a random installation identifier. Crash reports are not linked to your identity and are not used for advertising.
Notifications
Practice and streak reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Power-up packs and MathOwl Premium (a monthly or yearly subscription) are bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment under its own privacy policy; we never receive your payment details. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
Children’s Privacy
MathOwl is a general-audience app suitable for all ages. It does not ask anyone, including children, for personal information. Parents can choose Premium for an ad-free experience.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
